What’s New in the Pain Update?

1. Pain Fruit Rework – The Star of the Show

The Pain Fruit is getting a complete makeover that transforms it from an underused fruit to potentially one of the most powerful options in the game. Pain Rework: Improved movesets, animations, and a new Pain Meter mechanic makes this fruit feel completely fresh.

The new Pain Meter system is particularly intriguing – it builds up during combat and unlocks devastating abilities when full. Think of it as your suffering becoming your strength!

2. Hourly Pain Event – New Boss Challenges

Say goodbye to the Lightning event! The hourly Lightning event has been replaced by the Pain event, bringing hourly Pain Event bosses that embody torment itself. These aren’t your average bosses – they’re designed to test even veteran players’ skills.

3. Sharkman Karate Gets a Major Upgrade

Reworked Sharkman Karate with improved combat brings new animations and attacks. If you’ve been sleeping on martial arts builds, this update gives you the perfect excuse to dive back in.

4. Summer Gacha & Limited-Time Content

The update includes Summer Gacha featuring time-limited exclusive skins that you won’t want to miss. Plus, there’s a surprisingly addictive fish slapping minigame that adds some lighthearted fun to balance the darker themes.

Why This Update Matters for Your Gameplay

Here’s the real talk: this isn’t just another routine update. The Pain rework addresses one of the community’s biggest complaints about underutilized fruits. Previously, Pain was considered weak for grinding and lacked the Elemental reflex that makes fruits viable for higher-level play.

The new Pain Meter mechanic changes everything. It rewards aggressive playstyles and turns sustained combat into a strategic advantage rather than just button mashing.

For PvP enthusiasts, the improved range attacks and mobility options make Pain a legitimate threat in competitive play. And with the Sharkman Karate rework happening simultaneously, we’re seeing a shift toward more diverse combat strategies.
