Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle – India Release Details

Record-Breaking Anime Release

The 750+ screen release represents the widest anime film distribution in Indian cinema history. This unprecedented theatrical commitment demonstrates growing confidence in anime’s mainstream appeal among Indian audiences.

The film will be available in Japanese with English subtitles alongside complete dubs in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, ensuring accessibility across linguistic preferences.

Uncut Certification Success

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared Infinity Castle without any visual cuts, maintaining the original artistic integrity. The U/A 13+ rating allows teenage audiences to experience the film as intended by studio ufotable.

This certification achievement is significant for anime releases in India, where action content often faces editing requirements.

Exclusive Mumbai Premiere Event

Mumbai fans get priority access through a special advance screening on September 7, featuring Crunchyroll ambassadors Tiger Shroff and Rashmika Mandanna. The event includes exclusive experiences and themed photo opportunities, adding star power to the anime launch.

Final Battle Trilogy Begins

Infinity Castle launches the three-part film series adapting Demon Slayer’s climactic final arc. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps as they face their ultimate confrontation with demon lord Muzan Kibutsuji in the mysterious Infinity Castle stronghold.

This installment picks up after the Hashira Training arc, plunging viewers into the series’ most intense battles featuring all beloved characters including Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the elite Hashira swordsmen.

Box Office Momentum

Following record-breaking success in Japan, where it became the fourth highest-grossing film ever, Infinity Castle arrives in India with tremendous global momentum. The film’s Japanese box office performance surpassed Makoto Shinkai’s acclaimed “Your Name.”

Booking and Availability

Advance tickets become available September 5 through:

• Major cinema chains nationwide

The comprehensive release strategy ensures fans across metro cities and smaller towns can access this highly anticipated conclusion to the Demon Slayer saga.

Why This Matters for Anime Fans

The uncut U/A 13+ rating and massive screen count signal a maturation of anime distribution in India. This release could establish new standards for future anime theatrical releases, potentially encouraging more studios to consider India as a primary market.

For Demon Slayer fans, this represents the culmination of years following Tanjiro’s journey, delivered with the visual spectacle that ufotable’s animation deserves on the big screen.
