Serbian international Luka Jovic was signed by Real Madrid as a future replacement for the ageing Karim Benzema. But things have taken a turn downwards for the 23-year old. He signed for Real Madrid in 2019 for a fee of around €60m from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jovic has scored just two goals in 32 appearances for Los Blancos till now. He has appeared just four times across all competitions this season. He has found his time hard to come by at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the Serbian international was a hit during his two years with Frankfurt, scoring 36 times as they reached the Europa League semi-finals in 2019. So, moving back to his former club where he once shone can do a world of good to him.

According to various reports, Eintracht Frankfurt want the 23-year-old on a six-month loan deal until the end of this season. The deal would suit all the parties involved as Real Madrid would hope that Jovic gets his confidence back after playing for his former club once again.

If he manages to get his confidence and form back, Real Madrid would be happy as Jovic has a lot of potential. But if he doesn’t manage to get back on track after 2 years from signing for Madrid, unfortunately, there’s a huge probability that he will be sold this summer.
