BLACKPINK Fans Defend Against False Wembley Stadium Unsold Seats Allegations

BLACKPINK‘s historic two-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium has sparked controversy after allegations surfaced about unsold seats and black curtains being used to hide empty sections. Following their groundbreaking performances on August 15-16, 2025, devoted fans have launched a passionate defense campaign, accusing critics of “spreading false information” about the K-pop queens’ record-breaking shows.

BLACKPINK Wembley Stadium: Concert Overview

The Controversy Explained

Black Curtain Allegations

Critics alleged that BLACKPINK’s management used black curtains to conceal unsold seats during their Wembley performances, suggesting the shows weren’t genuinely sold out as advertised.

Social Media Storm

On August 16, the BBC released an article about BLACKPINK’s recent concert at Wembley Stadium in London, part of their 2025 DEADLINE World Tour. The article sparked discussions about attendance figures and staging arrangements.

Viral Misinformation Claims

Images circulating on social media platforms allegedly showed empty sections covered by dark fabric, leading to speculation about actual ticket sales versus reported sold-out status.

Fan Defense: “Spreading False Information”

Professional Staging Standards

Fans argue that black curtains are standard practice for stadium concerts to optimize acoustics and create better visual experiences, not to hide empty seats. Professional concert staging often requires covering certain sections for technical and safety reasons.

Sold-Out Evidence

BLACKPINK supporters have provided evidence of official sold-out announcements from Ticketmaster, Wembley Stadium’s official website, and other authorized ticket vendors well before the concert dates.

Historical Context

BLACKPINK lit up Wembley Stadium last night, proving once again why they’re the biggest girl group on the planet, as the K-pop queens made history as the first ever K-POP girl group to headline the legendary venue.
