But is there truth to these rumors, or has the internet simply run wild with speculation? Let’s dive into what Chris Hemsworth himself has revealed about his future as Thor and what fans can expect from Avengers: Doomsday.

Chris Hemsworth Viral Video That Started It All

Recently, Chris Hemsworth shared a montage video on his YouTube channel celebrating his journey as Thor. While intended as a heartfelt tribute to fans, the video’s nostalgic tone inadvertently fueled speculation that it was a farewell message, suggesting his time as the God of Thunder was coming to an end.

Chris Hemsworth’s Official Response

In a candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hemsworth addressed the misunderstanding head-on, providing much-needed clarity for concerned fans.

Setting the Record Straight:

“It was certainly not the intent. To be honest, my social media team assembled some footage and were like, ‘Oh, this could be cool. We’ll put some stuff up and thank the fans.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, cool. It’s been great,'” Hemsworth explained, emphasizing that the video was simply meant as appreciation for the fanbase.

He continued, “So we penned it together, and off I went to do something else. But then I had a few people ask me about it, and someone on my team said, ‘Ugh, we’ve given the wrong impression here.'”

The Misunderstanding Explained:

The actor clarified that “a lot was read into a little,” indicating that fans and media outlets interpreted the nostalgic tone as a goodbye when it was merely gratitude.
