4 Reasons Kang Ha Gi Stole Our Hearts in “My Bias, My Boss” Episodes 7-8

Some male leads win you over with grand gestures. Kang Ha Gi (Kang Hoon) does it by fumbling every attempt at flirting and flinching at the slightest touch. Episodes 7 and 8 of “My Bias, My Boss” leaned hard into his loveable awkwardness — and gave fans plenty of reasons to root for him even harder.

My Bias, My Boss Episodes 7-8: Quick Overview

1. Kang Ha Gi Can’t Handle Being Touched

After sharing an accidental kiss at the end of episode 6, Kang Ha Gi plays it cool — a little too cool, according to Nam Da Reum (Kim Hye Jun), who starts to wonder if she was the only one affected. That theory falls apart the moment they bump into each other at a supermarket: the slightest touch sends him flinching and stumbling. Naturally, she notices immediately and starts bumping into him on purpose just to watch him unravel all over again.

2. She Can Just Be Herself Around Him

The show spends these episodes drawing a clear contrast between Kang Ha Gi and Lee Chan (Cha Woo Min), Nam Da Reum’s long-time celebrity crush. With Kang Ha Gi, their bond has grown naturally through shared wins — saving an online fashion show together, working through a misunderstanding about her being a spy, building a Korean knot craft project side by side. Around him, she’s playful, comfortable, unguarded.

Lee Chan, by contrast, treats their relationship more like a project to manage — buying her clothes based on his own taste, planning her future without asking what she actually wants. The difference in how each man treats her only makes Kang Ha Gi’s quiet attentiveness stand out more.

3. His Flirting Attempts Are a Disaster (In the Best Way)

In episode 7, convinced Nam Da Reum likes him back, Kang Ha Gi tries to make his feelings known during a cat playdate at her place. His approach: mentioning it’s his first time visiting a girl’s house, and dropping a vague hint that he’s missed her — a hint so subtle it flies completely over her head. He leaves still wondering aloud, “She got it, right?” She very much did not.

4. He Steps in When It Matters Most

When paparazzi photos of Nam Da Reum and Lee Chan surface, backlash from Lee Chan’s fanbase follows fast. While Lee Chan eventually helps clear her name, his statement reads more like damage control than genuine concern. Kang Ha Gi, on the other hand, doesn’t hesitate — he steps directly in front of Nam Da Reum to shield her from protestors, even threatening legal action, despite the real risk to his own company.

Where the Story Goes From Here

With the dating controversy now resolved, episodes 7 and 8 leave plenty of room for Kang Ha Gi and Nam Da Reum’s relationship to deepen. If this arc is any indication, K-drama fans have a lot to look forward to in the episodes ahead.
