Kia’s next-generation Seltos, originally launched in 2019, is set for a major overhaul ahead of its 2025 debut. 2025 Kia Seltos Hybrid Spotted Ahead of Launch with Bold New Design

Spy images showcasing a slightly reworked front and rear LED set. The latest design has seen the headlamps come with vertical daytime running lights (DRL), adding to a sportier, more premium look for the SUV. Kia’s futuristic attention to styling is highlighted yet again by the rear LED tail light pattern. Other details include new LED turn signals, hinting at increased visibility and safety. The SUV’s muscular stance is further accentuated by new alloy wheels which provide a sportier touch.

While the bodywork is cloaked, as usually happens with test mules, the silhouette suggests an outward appearance blending Seltos ruggedness with features seen in Kia’s electric vehicle range. The tail light design, which is similar to what has been seen on the EV5, suggests a shared design language connecting Kia’s internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles.

Though these latest spyshots have yet to capture any interior details, previous leaks suggest the next-gen Seltos will borrow its cabin layout from the EV3 featuring a two-tone interior with bright colors. Expected upgrades include ambient lighting and a potential switch from the traditional 3-spoke steering wheel to a more modern 2-spoke design.

The 2025 Kia Seltos is also expected to offer hybrid and advanced powertrain options. Along with the current petrol and diesel engines, it may feature a 1.6-liter hybrid engine generating around 141 hp, similar to the Hyundai Kona Hybrid, and could include an AWD setup. The model is expected to launch in India around Diwali 2025, competing with rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and Tata Curvv.
