Arnaut Danjuma is all set to join Everton in the coming days. Villarreal have agreed a deal with the Premier League club for a straight loan until the end of the season with no option to buy

The player has landed in England and has completed his medical tests for the move. And soon, an official statement confirming his arrival on a temporary deal will be put forth by the Merseyside club.

Arnaut Danjuma to join Everton on loan

Danjuma had interest from several other teams across Europe, but has decided to return to the Premier League. He previously featured for Bournemouth for two seasons before making the move to Spain.

Frank Lampard’s side has had to endure their worst start to a Premier League campaign in 22/23. They are currently second last in the table on goal difference, ahead of Southampton who are at the bottom of the table. They recently lost 2-0 to West Ham in a very important fixture, which has seen their hopes of climbing out of the bottom take a blow.

The Dutchman has had a decent return in La Liga so far, and had interest from several big clubs. But, with his move to Everton until the end of the season, he perhaps is not as indispensable under Quique Setien as under Unai Emery.

Duvan Zapata of Atalanta was considered one of the options for Everton this season as well. But, Atalanta did not want to let the Colombian leave on loan and they insisted on a permanent transfer. Everton, as a result, had to bow out of negotiations for the physical centre-forward.

This season, Arnaut Danjuma has scored six goals in 17 appearances across all competitions, in 813 minutes. And it will be interesting to see if he can help solve Everton’s goalscoring woes to help keep them in the top flight.
