The winger has agreed a four-year contract with the Gunners and turned down two other clubs to make the move to North London. He hasn’t featured since their game against Arsenal, and the relationship with manager Roberto De Zerbi has since broken down. This has led to Leandro Trossard being asked to train alone and dropped from the squad.

His agent publicly confirmed the situation and said that his client was pushing for a transfer. And now we know that the Emirates Stadium will be the next home for the talented attacker. His versatility will be a great factor in Arteta’s plans, which already include Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard.

Arsenal were closely linked with a move for Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. They made three bids for the Ukrainian, but the transfer was ultimately hijacked and the player ended up joining Chelsea. Now, Arsenal have found their attacking reinforcement to tackle the latter half of the season with. And it remains to be seen whether Trossard can win the league with his new team in the summer.
