The BCCI has decided that the Women’s IPL will have five teams for the inaugural edition of Women’s IPL in 2023. The Board is thinking to bring five overseas players, four from full ICC members and 1 player from the associate nation that will build a Playing XI. The two venues and 20 league matches are going to be held by BCCI in March 2023 window after the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in February.

BCCI has now released the Invitation To Tender (ITT) for Women’s IPL Media Rights for 2023-2027. Famous Indian sports networks like Disney-Star, Viacom18 and Sony Sports Network will all be interested in acquiring the bids of this tournament for the inaugural 5 years.

The detailed terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, process for submissions of bids, proposed media rights packages, and obligations, etc. are contained in the ‘Invitation to Tender’ (“ITT”) which will be made available on receipt of payment of non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakhs Only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax. The procedure to procure the ITT documents is enlisted in Annexure A to this document. The ITT will be available for purchase till December 31, 2022.

Interested parties are requested to email the details of payment made for the purchase of the ITT to wipl.mediarights@bcci.tv, as per the procedure laid down in Annexure A. It is clarified that the ITT documents shall be shared only upon receipt of payment of the non-refundable fee as above.
