Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is here its debut with Ultra level dexterity

The screen of your smartphone may very well be one of its most crucial components, hence nobody wants to experience having their screen broken. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which Corning just unveiled, ought to increase your level of satisfaction with your phone.

The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 boasts a new glass composition with increased drop protection against concrete and other rough surfaces. It should provide the same level of scratch resistance as the first model.

Corning even provided a press release in which it discussed how the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 survived a one-meter drop test onto a model of concrete without suffering any damage.

Given that Corning has discussed how other manufacturers’ products fail the same test, the corporation seems to be rather confident in its most recent glass.

Good news regarding the rollout: according to the company’s press release, “anticipated to reach the market within the next several months,” your next smartphone may have Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front.

Although Corning makes some extremely big statements, I would not advise you to subject your phone to the same rigorous testing that Corning used to evaluate the Victus 2. Glass is glass, and it will eventually break when struck with enough force. Glass will scratch at level 6 and develop deeper grooves at level 7, but more importantly, it will do so.
