At BlizzCon 2019, Diablo 4 and other games like Overwatch 2 were unveiled. It will debut on the Battle.net client for PCs and consoles as the following game in the critically renowned series. Five character classes have been introduced since then (the Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer, respectively).
More details about Blizzard’s upcoming major project for the series have just come to light. One of the most important details in a report from Windows Central comes from the game’s release window. Preorders for Diablo 4 might begin as early as next month, with the game’s anticipated release date of April 2023.
The fact that Microsoft is now in the process of acquiring Activision Blizzard could also affect when the game launches; it may very well be added to Game Pass soon after release. The launch status of the game is also covered as we move on, though. Its upgrades are planned to follow a seasonal pattern.
That might make sense if it makes you think of Overwatch 2’s incoming hero Ramattra. For example, Fortnite and Destiny 2 both use a seasonal structure for their releases and content. Returning to Diablo 4, the information provided today on the game’s planned debut should be treated with caution (as it is currently unofficial).
The fact that The Game Awards 2022 are drawing nearer and nearer is another item to think about. The show will take place on December 2nd, 2022, and there may be high-profile announcements of new titles or content during the celebrations (like Joker’s announcement of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 2018).
