City sales reached 4.5 million

Honda City was created as an Asian model and is currently offered in 80 nations. Sales of the City have reached 4.5 million units globally. The generation map looks like this: The first-generation Honda City vehicle was based on the sixth-generation Honda Civic between 1998 and 2003. (FERIO). The Honda Jazz platform served as the basis for the second generation, which was sold from 2003 to 2008. Center tank layout refers to the location of the gasoline tank in the middle of the vehicle.

Thus, the second-generation City became more roomy, comfortable, and fuel-efficient. It was powered by a 1.5L i-DSI engine, short for “Intelligent Dual & Sequential Ignition.” The CVT option, a first for any car in India, was released at this time. It had ABS available.

The third generation, which was available from 2008 to 2013, has a redesigned design and a 1.5L i-VTEC engine. Dual front airbags and ABS with EBD were featured as standard safety equipment in all models.

The 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine and 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine were both new for the 4th-generation City, which was sold between 2014 and 2020. A modern CVT was also available. The fifth-generation vehicle we use today debuted in 2020. Additionally, the City e:HEV Hybrid Electric variant was introduced this year.
