In India, a journey that started years ago has been ongoing for 25 years. And no, the business has never had to stop producing the car for any reason. 1998 until 2022, and still counting. The period’s total domestic and international sales reached 9 lakh units.
25 Years of Honda City Record
The Honda City has the distinction of being the longest-running mainstream vehicle in Indian automotive history and is now available in its fifth generation. And it hasn’t simply made people happy. As a core tenet of its company, HCIL has benefited from brand expansion.
India is the largest and most significant market for the Honda City sedan, with 28 percent of sales in Honda’s Asia Oceania area (Jan-Aug 22). City sales reached 4.5 million
Honda City was created as an Asian model and is currently offered in 80 nations. Sales of the City have reached 4.5 million units globally. The generation map looks like this: The first-generation Honda City vehicle was based on the sixth-generation Honda Civic between 1998 and 2003. (FERIO). The VTEC Hyper 16-valve engine produced a maximum power of 106 horsepower.
