Prices for GPUs are decreasing, especially if you can find a flash deal. Graphics cards are unable to maintain their prior worth even one week after Ethereum successfully completed The Merge and in the midst of the launch announcement for the Nvidia RTX 40-series.
Although average retail prices have decreased by 3.5% since last week, some of the greater changes are somewhat hidden by this. RTX 3090 Ti remained constant, whereas RTX 3090 and RTX 3060 Ti both had an 11% decline. Furthermore, AMD’s RX 6750 XT, RX 6700 XT, and RX 6700 10GB all experienced double-digit % price decreases, with the MSI RX 6700 XT Mech 2X and ASRock RX 6700 XT Challenger D currently selling for $359.99 and $349.99, respectively.
Even if costs may appear reasonable given that you’re looking at performance levels between the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 and you also get 12GB of VRAM, the Radeon RX 6600 is still the actual sweetheart of the budget market at the moment. You can buy the Sapphire RX 6600 Pulse for for $229.99. While you don’t get DLSS support with the EVGA RTX 2060 6GB, you do get more VRAM and often 20% greater performance in regular rasterization games for the same price.
However, not all GPUs experienced price drops over the past week.
The RX 6950 XT was previously on sale, however that has since come to an end, increasing the price by $40. Prices for the RX 6600, which more than doubles their performance, have also increased, which is strange because no one should be purchasing the RX 6500 XT and RX 6400. Given that we’re only looking at the last week, it’s not unexpected that the prices of a few other GPUs are also unchanged.
Another intriguing fact is that, if you’re ready to take a chance on buying a used graphics card, the AMD RX 5700 XT is now the best value of all GPUs. Additionally, there is a chance, particularly if you get something that has been subjected to high pressure water blasting.
