Deal: Get 9th Gen Apple iPad with A13 Bionic for only ₹26,990

A report from the Taiwanese website DigiTimes claims that Apple’s speculated 10th-generation iPad is presently in development and will have “significant” design modifications. However, reports claim the tablet would have a larger 10.5-inch display with significantly smaller bezels, a USB-C connection, and a flat-edged casing with a protruding rear camera.

The report did not disclose any precise information about the new design of the 10th-generation iPad. Although recently leaked renderings showed the tablet without a headphone port like other iPad models, the less expensive iPad is still anticipated to have a Touch ID home button.

The cheaper iPad is reported to get a facelift as well as a speedier A14 Bionic CPU and 5G compatibility for cellular variants. The fourth-generation iPad Air and all four iPhone 12 models also include the A14 chip.

DigiTimes reports that Apple intends to introduce the 10th-generation iPad in September, but insiders mentioned in the article claim that the company is concerned about temporary power limitations put in place by the Chinese government on companies in the country’s southwest Sichuan region. To prioritise residential power supply amid a severe heat wave, power has reportedly been interrupted by industrial users in 19 cities across the province until August 20. All industrial power users have also reportedly been instructed to halt all output during this time.

According to the research, Foxconn and Compal are the leading producers of iPads in Sichuan, and a six-day suspension caused by the power outages is unlikely to have a significant influence on production efficiency in August. But the research warns that mass manufacturing could be impacted if the power constraints are prolonged.

At its September 2021 event, Apple also introduced the sixth-generation iPad mini, iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7, and the ninth-generation iPad.

We’ll have to wait and watch if the 10th-generation iPad gets introduced in September or October this year since it was earlier today said that the tablet would be announced at an event in October.

The 10.2-inch display, A13 Bionic processor, 12-megapixel front camera with support for Center Stage, and first-generation Apple Pencil compatibility come standard on the ninth-generation iPad. With 64GB or 256GB of storage, the device has a starting price of $329 in the US and comes in Space Gray or Silver colour options.
