On Tuesday, July 5, at Edgbaston in Birmingham, England defeated India in a renowned victory while also completing their largest successful chase in Test cricket. The match was the fifth Test of the Pataudi Trophy.
Thanks to unbroken hundreds from Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow in the second innings, England was able to successfully chase down 378 runs in 76.4 overs with seven wickets in hand.
