The jailer is the Superstar Rajnikanth’s new movie, it is going to be the 169th movie. On Friday, Sun Pictures, the producer of the movie made the announcement of this movie’s title on social media along with a concept poster.
On Twitter, Sun Pictures has written, “#Thalaivar169 is #Jailer.” The concept poster of Jailer sees a blood-soaked meat cleaver hanged to a chain inside an abandoned factory. While the ambiance in the frame looks rustic, it also promises a high voltage actioner.
Jailer: Rajnikanth’s new movie
Jailer, the upcoming movie is being produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. It is Dilipkumar’s second movie after Vijay’s Beast, this is also the first collaboration with Rajnikanth.
Beast has obtained negative results from the box office, and the speculations about the materialization of Thalaivar169 have been rife. But now, the makers have put a full stop to the rumor mills by announcing the film’s title in style.
Beast has received mixed reviews and it was released on 13th April 2022. Vikram director Lokesh Kanagaraj had also come out in support of Nelson. He has revealed in an interview with Cinema Vikatan that success and failure are part of a filmmaker’s journey in the industry and also condemned the trolling against Nelson for Beast.

The cast of the movie Jailer has not been known till now, it will be announced very soon. The music for the movie was done by Anirudh Ravichander while Kalanithi Maran will present it.
