Mahindra is all geared up to introduce its latest upcoming electric SUV, the XUV 400 in Q1 of 2023. This new EV from the brand has been caught undergoing tests on Indian roads and the latest spy camera shot confirms that the car will have a totally different rear design.

Mahindra XUV 400 EV will be priced at around Rs.15 Lakh

Going by the specifications of the XUV 300, the upcoming electric car will feature the same design language as its predecessor. There are many upgrades as well such as the presence of an updated LED taillight with redesigned lighting elements. The variant that is getting tested has been heavily camouflaged which makes it harder to find out all the other small changes in terms of design.

The external shape has been retained by the car maker and the details of the tailgate are not visible with the heavy camouflage cover. Mahindra has likely used the XUV 300’s unit. It was previously confirmed that a longer 4.2m length for the upcoming EV is as compared to the sub-4 meter XUV 300. The XUV300 is likely to come with additional space for passengers and boot storage in a longer size. The XUV 400 will be powered by a single motor tuned to deliver an output of 150 bhp, 7bhp which makes it more than the output of the XUV 300.

Apart from this, not much is known about the XUV 400, the EV is expected to arrive with the latest connected tech and ADAS features from the XUV700. The XUV 400 or XUV 300 EV was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 where the company also displayed an electric version of the KUV.

The final pricing of the car is not out here, the XUV 400 EV is expected to be priced at Rs. 15 lakhs which will pit it against the top-selling passenger electric vehicles in India. Mahindra has confirmed that it will roll out its Born EV SUV range on the 15th of August. We will get a total of nine new vehicles as a part of this range.
