WhatsApp has recently debuted a brand new feature that it calls ‘Multi-device support.’ This feature allows users to access the instant messaging platform on a linked PC without the smartphone being connected to the net.

The popular social-networking platform is pushing a new Beta build that arrives with a feature that will allow users the ability to use their WhatsApp account on an entirely different smartphone.

This feature will work similarly to the current multi-device support feature. Users will have the choice to link a secondary device, a smartphone, or tablet to their WhatsApp account on their primary device.

As per a report from WABetainfo, the Beta update carries version number 2.22.10.13 for Android, and it also has shared a screenshot of the feature which comes with a section titled “Register device as Companion.”

Going by the instructions in the screenshot, users will mostly have to scan the QR code with their primary WhatsApp device to complete the linking of the messaging service to a secondary device, be it a smartphone or a tablet.

Apart from this, WhatsApp is also working on a Quick Reactions feature that will allow users to react to a status update along with an emoji. The feature is already available on Instagram and Messenger.

The Quick Reaction will bring about eight reaction emojis that include a smiling face with heart eyes, a face with tears of joy, a face with an open mouth, a crying face, a person with folded hands, clapping hands, a party popper, and a hundred points emoji as well.
