Grid Legends is an Electronics Arts-produced game developed by Codemaster based on Racing. The game is a Sequel of 2019’s Grid and 2002’s Toca Race driver, the first game introduced by Codemaster with a story series.
Are you ready to enjoy a racing documentary?
This game has a different approach in story mode, they used Live-Action documentary as a storytelling method. Players will get a taste of a racing documentary rather than an animated adventure.
The cast’s performance is pretty impressive, and Sex education star Ncuti Gatwa plays the role of Valentine Manzi, in the Story mode Driven to Glory.
Live-action cutscenes made the story mode more realistic and make a perfect racing storyline to enjoy. The story mode Driven to the glory is quite enjoyable and it took me 7-8 hours to complete the story mode, after that, you can continue your career where lots of things you can do and a racing game the career mode offers a good amount of racing content.
Grid Legends Nemesis system makes it quite interesting, if you bother an AI or hit the car or stop them while cornering the Nemesis system activates but in Grid 19 it only last till the race but here in Grid Legends the Nemesis system last after the race and continues in next races which makes the races more intense and more enjoyable in a competitive manner.
Grid Legends also added lots of mistakes by AI as they now crash more while cornering and they failed to stay on track or even the AI sometimes loses balance and make a heavy crash which brings more realism in Grid Legends.
The game devs work well on game mechanics and environments you can enjoy iconic maps from all around the globe and the controls are too good. The realistic graphics provided in this game with outstanding sound effects are amazing, the detailed environment and perfectly matched weather conditions with iconic tracks make this game more vivid.
But Grid Legends is still light years behind in comparison to customization options to its competitors like NFS and Forza series.
Grid is not a simulator game is a far more gallery-style racing game and as a complete package and a rare and innovative way of telling a story using Live-action Cutscenes make this game is special for the players, Grid Legends is an advanced step in comparison to Grid 2019 with more tracks more car to enjoy and a really enjoyable storyline. The game is good in my opinion, and worth a try.
