Lionsgate Play has dropped the trailer of the second Indian original show, Jugaadistan. It will explore from dealing with student dynamics, college politics to journalism. The new trailer also gives a sneak-peek into the web series and also reveals greyer shades of student life.
Jugaadistan: Plot
This new series reveals the dark side of college life along with the help of different characters. It also contains a student politician who has been bent along with the rules to win the elections. It is about a budding journalist who is in search of a hard-hitting tale and also about a professor who also had been wanted to weed out from the scan of the examination on their campus.
In the trailer, we will see Sumeet Vyas who will play the role of a politician in this series and named the show ‘unlike any other Arun, who also will be seen as a senior journalist and busy in the investigation of a crime. We will also see Ahsaas Channa playing her role as a student journalist different from what she has done before. She also reveals about campus life has often been depicted on-screen but the way this web series deals along with it is something unusual and unique.
Jugaadistan: Cast
This series is featuring Sumeet Vyas who has said, “ This show is unlike any other campus dramas that you have witnessed so far. There are multiple storylines running parallel and my character’s one-point agenda is to win student elections irrespective of whatever it takes. In fact, he is also unintentionally comic in his attempt to appeal to students across the board. It was one of the most memorable characters that I got a chance to essay on screen.”
In a statement, British Indian actor Arun Mathur said, “One of the most important subjects of the show is to tackle the journalists seeking the truth ad not being cowed down by fear of mightier forces at play. I was instantly drawn into the world of the show because telling the truth like it takes courage, conviction, and a girl. That’s what my character exemplifies.”
Ahsaas Channa also says,” I have been a part of campus dramas earlier, but ‘Jugaadistan’ delves into the areas which have remained untapped so far. My character wants to split a big story on campus, and she is even willing to bend rules to achieve what she sets out to.”
She continues,” shooting for the show was a learning experience because Akarsh and Adhaar Khurana, the directors, had a sound understanding of the milieu and the students. Being part of an ensemble cast gave me even more impetus to deliver my best,”
Gopal has called his character an “in-and-out scam artist who justifies the means to his end with quotes from icon people.”
Parambrata said, “ This was an interesting role for me to play. I was thrilled about playing a professor whose on is to shape the lives of students while they are in college.”
Jugaadistan: Release Date
This series will drop on 4th March on Lionsgate Play.
