Niklas Sule is set to leave Bayern Munich in the summer. The German international has turned down contract proposals from the Bavarian and will be able to walk out as a free agent when his deal runs out in the summer.

According to Christian Falk, the player is ready to leave and has a number of suitors interested in him. He has been with Bayern Munich for the last five years, since making a €20 million move from Hoffenheim.

Where could Niklas Sule go next?

Newcastle United and Chelsea in the Premier League are interested in signing the German central defender. In Spain, Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the 26-year-old since he will be available on a free transfer.

Chelsea will, in all likelihood, be losing Andreas Christensen this summer, also as a free agent. The Danish centre-back has attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona, and Chelsea might be able to pull off a very smart deal if they replace Christensen for free in the summer.

Newcastle United are not splashing the cash, despite having the capacity to do so. And a deal for Niklas Sule in the summer will be a great piece of business for them to immensely boost the quality of their squad.

Sule has had to deal with several injury problems over the last few seasons, which have hindered his progress. But now, he is one of the starting defenders under Julian Nagelsmann. That won’t last long, since his deal is set to run out in six months.
