Well, if you are a YouTube addict and love watching YouTube on desktop, then you will be excited to know that YouTube has finally rolled this update which was previously spotted by 9to5Google.
So, users like you and me will now be able to see a pop-out video preview player when hovering over on-site video at your home feed. This is almost similar to what we have seen on the YouTube app already, works with WiFi and now, even desktop users will be able to enjoy this feature.
When you will just move the cursor over the top of the video you will see a prompt now – Keep hovering to play, and as you leave your cursor over the video, the video starts playing without any sound but with captions, similar to the mobile app. Having done so, you can even play with the timeline of the video and play the section you want to.
Also, you get the ability to “Watch later” or “Add to queue” when you hover over any video while still, you have the expanded three-dot menu which always gives you more options. Well, this feature might have been available elsewhere, we exactly don’t know, however, in India, the feature has been spotted since today.
Do let us know if you are able to see this pop-out preview player on the home feed for YouTube Desktop and let us know your views on the same in the comments down below.😎
Hi
There is a way to disable it? It’s very annoying.
Regards.
I absolutely hate this new feature. Previously, we got a series of stills from throughout the video that gave us an idea of the content. Now, we get 20 seconds of some variation of, “This video sponsored by Raid Squatch Man Cons.”
Absolutely useless feature.
