Nvidia launches G-Sync monitors: Switching between 1080p & 1440p now possible

NVIDIA is launching new G-Sync monitors that will be able to switch between 1080p and 1440p. According to Steam, 67% of gamers use 1080p, and are considering the jump to a better picture quality.

For those looking for an eSports display, the company is hoping to make things easier. Let’s take a look at what these new monitors will come with.

NVIDIA G-Sync monitors 2022: What are the features?

The monitors will measure up at 27 inches and come with 360 Hz refresh rates. They will also support Nvidia’s Reflex Analyzer system latency tool. It is an eSports vibrance model that enhances the color profile of the panel by using mini LED backlights.

According to NVIDIA, these monitors can handle the staple eSports titles like CS:GO, Valorant, Rainbow Six: Siege and Overwatch at 360fps & 1440p on max settings with Intel’s latest Core i9-12900K and an RTX 3080.

To support games that don’t hit high frame rates at 1440p, the monitors will transform into 25-inch ones from their usual 27-inch dimensions. Extra bezels around the display will help support the lower 1080p display.

Nvidia is employing a “new special resolution that makes a pixel perfect 25-inch display for increased 25-inch sharpness,” to combat the problems that arise when you don’t use a monitor at its native display settings.

Competing brands like AOC, Asus, MSI, and ViewSonic are all coming up with their own versions of the 1440p monitors. Their specifications are set to vary from the ones Nvidia has built for the gamers.
