 Team India lost to Germany in the semifinals for Junior Hockey World Championships. The winner, Germany is going to play against Argentina who defeated France to enter the finale.

German players Erik Kleinlein, Philip Holzmueller, Hannes Muller, Chistopher Kutter scored for the team. On the other hand, Uttam Singh and Dhami scored scored goals for their team in Kalinga stadium. Germany had won the tournament six times already and now they are ready to face Argentina for the final game of the World Cup. The hosts are going to play against France for the third finish in the showpiece.

India had a submassive start in their game but Germany established domination. In the second quarter, Germany had doubled their lead after a The hosts started the match very passively as Germany dominated possession but nothing really came out of it. In the dying minutes of the first quarter, the European team drew the first blood as Erik Kleinlein tapped in the dead ball inside the net from a rebound on the penalty corner. Indian player Manjeet missed a chance to get the touch in front of the German goal in the third quarter.

Indian player Dhami made its consolation goal who rifled past German GK to cut the deficit in half.

Germany is the most successful team in the history of this tournament with six titles. The finale is definitely going to be thrilling between the two teams. Germany won its last title of Junior World Cup in 2013 in New Delhi.

It would be interesting to watch if the Germans can take the trophy back to their home.
