Motorola Edge 20 Pro Confirmed to Launch in India Soon

On 17th August Motorola India had launched two new smartphones in the country, which are the Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion. Both these are 5G smartphones of the Edge series and the Edge 20 series was officially launched some time ago in the global market, on the 3rd August. The global variants also included a Pro version from the Edge 20 series.

So after the launch of the Motorola Edge 20 and the Edge 20 Fusion smartphones in India, viewers wanted to see the Pro version as well. This extended up to a situation where Prashanth Mani, Country Head of Motorola India, has himself responded to a tweet that reads “Wish the Edge 20 Pro would have been launched too in India.” To this tweet’s response, Prashanth Mani tweeted “We will launch the edge 20 pro soon”.

This tweet from the country head made it clear that Motorola Edge 20 Pro will soon launch in India. Prashant has not shared any particular date or time of its launch, but we are expecting it within a few months from now. Motorola Edge 20 Pro is a power-packed device that features the Snapdragon 870 processor.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro is reported to feature a hole-punch display with the cutout placed in the center. The renders are seen to sport flat edges, a triple camera setup with a periscope lens and a Motorola logo on the back. The phone is expected to be priced at EUR 699 (roughly Rs. 61,400) and may come in Midnight Blue and Vegan Leather colour options. Tipped specifications include a 6.7-inch full-HD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 870 SoC, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

The rear camera module is seen to have a square-shaped camera module, suggesting the presence of a periscope lens on the most premium model in the series. The triple rear camera setup may come with a 108-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, Motorola Edge 20 Pro is tipped to feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
