Reliance Industries Limited will hold its 44th annual general meeting on the 24th of June in a virtual setting owing to the current situation.
The topics of the introduction of 5G services in India could possibly be the topmost on their agenda. Less than two days ago, the Department of Telecommunications granted permissions to Airtel and Reliance Jio to start trials of 5G services in rural areas. They had already received permission to conduct 5G trials in urban areas.
Reliance Jio will be conducting trials using its own technology along with Samsung network gears, according to reports.
Apart from this, the subjects of Reliance Jio introducing new products such as another phone variant of the Jio phone or quite possibly even a budget laptop in the works could be on the agenda.
Reliance could also be considering expanding the services provided by them and form new partnerships along with other companies as they have done with Amazon Prime.
