Along with the new CPU design, ARM has also offered new GPUs that will be featured in 2022 entry-level, mid-range, and flagship handsets. Now, coming to the GPUs like Mali-G310, G510, G610, and G710 and let’s compare them with their direct predecessors.

Starting with the Mali-G310, which is basically a GPU design at the lower end of the spectrum. According to ARM, being an entry-level design, it still able to deliver six times texturing performance, with double the Android UI rendering performance and 4.5x Vulkan performance.

The Mali-G510, in terms of gains, offers the best out of all the four. ARM has claimed that the GPU design definitely offers a 100 percent performance improvement over its predecessor, coupled with 22 percent energy savings and a 100 percent improvement in machine learning tasks. It seems Mali-G510 will be featured in mid-range smartphones, especially for the users who love playing sightly graphically taxing games but don’t want to spend too much on a smartphone.

Now, let’s take a look at Mali-G710, which is said to be the flagship GPU design that offers a 20 percent power savings and 20 percent performance increase than its predecessor while offering up to 35 percent faster machine learning tasks. Along with the smartphones, Mali-G710 is powerful enough to power up the Chromebooks also. Lastly, the Mali-G610 is nothing but a less powerful variant of the Mali-G710, which will be featured in the non-flagship smartphones.

ARM has not stated anything about which partners are going to use these new GPU designs, but we can expect to learn more about it by the end of 2021.
