Qualcomm released its latest mobile processor last December. It was named Snapdragon 888 and was a serious upgrade to the previous Snapdragon 865. Let’s see which smartphones are powered by this Snapdragon 888 SoC.

1. Xiaomi Mi 11

Xiaomi Mi 11 - Specs, Price, Reviews, and Best Deals

Xiaomi’s Mi 11 became the first smartphone in the world to be run by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. The smartphone features a 6.81-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It features a triple camera setup which includes a magnificent 108MP Primary Camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro camera. It is packed with a robust 4,600mAh Li-Polymer type battery and 55W v4.0 Quick Charging and Wireless Charging technology. The battery is paired with a 55W fast-charging support.

The two variants of Xiaomi Mi 11 are: 

  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – €749
  • 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – €799

2. iQOO 7

iQoo 7 With Triple Rear Cameras, Snapdragon 888 SoC Launched: Price,  Specifications | Technology News

Vivo iQOO 7 features a 6.62 inch AMOLED screen and comes with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It features a triple-camera setup on the back-side. This includes a 48MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 13MP tertiary camera. A 16MP selfie-shooting camera sensor is present in the front of the phone. The smartphone houses a 4,000mAH battery cell and have a massive 120W of fast charging support.

The smartphone comes in two variants: 

  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – ¥3798 or Rs 43,000 
  • 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – ¥4198 or Rs 47,620

3. Vivo X60 Pro+

Vivo X60 Pro+ launch date confirmed for 21st of January

This Vivo’s smartphone comes with a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It houses four camera sensors on the rear side. It has a 64MP main camera and 16MP second camera, 12MP and 8MP cameras with LED Flash. It also hosts a 32MP selfie shooter on the front-side. The device is packed with a 4,700 mAh Li-Polymer type battery along with Fast Charging support. The touch sampling rate of Vivo X60 Pro+ is 240Hz.

The smartphone comes in two variants: 

  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – ¥4998
  • 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – ¥5998

4. Realme GT

Realme GT will feature a 6.5 inch AMOLED screen and has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. In terms of optics, it comes with a quad-camera setup. This includes a 64MP Primary Camera, an 8MP Camera, and two 2MP Cameras. Interestingly, it supports a robust 32MP selfie-shooting lens. It houses a 4,500mAh Li-Polymer type battery equipped with fast charging support of 65W. The smartphone comes in three colours: Galactic Silver, Deep Sea Blue, and Dawn Yellow. The device runs on Android 11 OS and Realme UI 2.0.

The smartphone comes in two variants: 

  • 8GB+128GB : ¥2799 or Rs 31,430 or $433
  • 12GB+256GB : ¥3299 or Rs 37,050 or $510

5. Samsung Galaxy S21

Samsung Galaxy S21 portrays a 6.2 inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone outside India is powered by Snapdragon 888 but in India, it is powered by Exynos 2100. Its triple camera setup includes a 12MP primary camera, a 64MP Telephoto camera, and a 12MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera. Samsung Galaxy S21 supported by a 4000mAh Li-ion battery and is paired with a 25W Fast and Wireless Charging feature.

The smartphone comes in two variants: 

  • 8GB + 128GB: Rs 69,999
  • 12GB + 256GB : Rs 73,999

6. Redmi K40 Pro+

Redmi’s latest device sports a 6.67-inch bezel-less display featuring a punch-hole layout which has a 20 MP selfie snapper at the front. In terms of optics, it hosts a 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 primary sensor alongside 8 MP and 5 MP sensors at the rear side of the smartphone. It houses a robust 4,520mAh battery and is paired with 33W fast charging. 

This device comes in only one variant which is the 12GB RAM + 256GB for CNY 3,699 or roughly Rs. 41,600.

7. Red Magic 6

The Red Magic 6 series consists of three models: Red Magic 6, Red Magic 6 Pro, and a Transparent Edition of the Pro variant. Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro has the same 6.8-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display which comes with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080-pixels. They also have the same massive refresh rate of 165 Hz. Red Magic 6 houses a massive 5,050mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support whereas Red Magic 6 Pro draws energy from a smaller 4500mAh battery cell and is paired with a 120W fast charging support. 

The price of the Red Magic 6 varies for different variants: 

  • 8GB + 128GB – CNY 3,799 (~Rs. 42,700)
  • 12GB + 128GB – CNY 4,099 (~Rs. 46,000)
  • 12GB + 256GB – CNY 4,399 (~Rs. 49,500)

Similarly, Red Magic 6 Pro+ comes in three different variants:

  • 12GB + 128GB – CNY 4,399 (~Rs. 49,500)
  • 12GB + 256GB – CNY 4,799 (~Rs. 53,999)
  • 16GB + 256GB – CNY 5,299 (~Rs. 59,600)

The Red Magic 6 Pro+ Transparent Edition offers two storage variants: 

  • 16GB + 256GB – CNY 5,599 or roughly Rs. 62,999
  • 18GB + 512GB – CNY 6,599 or roughly Rs. 74,000.

8. Meizu 18 series

Meizu 18 and 18 Pro launched with a 120 Hz Refresh Rate Display and Snapdragon 888 SoC

Meizu 18 series consists of two handsets: Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro. The base variant features a 6.2-inch S-AMOLED E4 display and comes with a strong refresh rate of 120 Hz. It offers a triple cam system which comes along a 64MP f/1.6 Sony IMX682 main camera, a 16MP f/2.2 ultrawide unit, and an 8MP 3x telephoto camera. The pro variant comes with an even bigger screen of a 6.7-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED display. Both devices have the same refresh rate and sampling rate. It houses a 4,500mAh battery cell with 40W charging support. Meizu 18 Pro sports a 44-megapixel Samsung GH1 front camera. The rear camera supports a 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor, a 32MP f/2.2 Sony IMX616 ultrawide camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera and a 2 MP macro lens. 

Meizu 18 comes in three storage variants:

  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 4,399 Yuan or ~$680
  • 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – 4,699 Yuan or ~$711
  • 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – 4,999 Yuan or ~$773

Meizu 18 Pro also have the same three storage variants:

  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 4,999 Yuan or ~$773
  • 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – 5,499 Yuan or ~$850
  • 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – 5,999 Yuan or ~$928
