We all know that AMD will be launching its upcoming Ryzen 5000H series gaming processors for laptops at the CES 2021 based on its revolutionary Zen 3 architecture.
Also, we have seen multiple leaks that have confirmed that AMD will bring the first overclockable laptop processors in the form of 5000HX series, ‘X’ stands for overclocking ability.
The AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX will be another overclockable mobile gaming processor by the company and has been spotted many times. The processor will offer 8 cores and 16 threads and features 16 MB of L3 cache and 4 MB of L2 cache. The chip’s base clock is rated at 3.30 GHz & the boost clock is rated at 4.70 GHz.
A new leak from @KOMACHI_ENSAKA has confirmed the existence of another overclockable mobile APU in the form of Ryzen 9 5980HX. This could also be an 8 core, 16 thread model with some higher clock speeds and has been spotted on usb.org, confirming its support and existence on upcoming gaming laptops.
This could well be the flagship mobile gaming processor from AMD, which is said to efficiently provide breakthrough gaming performance, 2021 will indeed be the best one for laptop gamers!
