Donny Van De Beek joined Manchester United from Ajax last summer. Since his joining, he did not get enough game time to show his full potential. But he showed his presence and became influential every time he was on the field.
He scored in his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace after coming on as a substitute. His performance against RB Leipzig in UEFA Champions League also caught the eyes of everyone.
Manchester United fans and some former legends had already asked Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to start the Dutch midfielder in more games.
Now Donny Van De Beek’s national team’s coach Frank De Boer claims that the former Ajax midfielder needs more game time to show his full potential.
“He did a pretty nice job. He is also doing well at Manchester United, but they have a fantastic midfield.”, Frank De Boer said.
“That’s difficult too, but Donny will still get to play enough.”
“Of course he wants more, but you also have to get used to a different competition.”
“He will experience that too, let’s hope he will eventually get game minutes. In any case, he is equipped, so we can use him well.”- he added.
Donny Van De Beek is in ‘National duty’ now. Netherlands will face Spain tonight in a friendly match. After that, they will face Bosnia and Herzegovina & Poland in UEFA Nations League ties.
Manchester United’s next game is against West Brom Albion in Premier League on 21st November.
