Samsung announces 10 new Smart TVs & The Frame 2020 in India

The South Korean giant, known for making great displays has launched a wide range of TVs in India recently. Apart from launching flagship The Frame 2020 TV, Samsung also launched 10 new Smart TV models which are more budget-friendly. These 10 models range come in various price range, with 4K UHD, FHD and HD displays.

All of these TVs will be online-exclusive smart TVs and The Frame 2020 will be sold on Flipkart while the other Smart TVs will be available on Flipkart, Amazon India and Samsung’s e-store. The sale will go live at midnight, June 19, 2020. Samsung has launched these online Smart TVs under the ‘Get More from TV’ campaign on Flipkart and the ‘Wondertainment’ campaign on Amazon.

The Frame 2020 feature Samsung’s revolutionary QLED technology which enables beautiful colors, exceptional contrasts and impeccable details with 100% color volume. The TV’s display is almost bezel-less and truly looks more like an art painting with sleek borders at the four sides and when it is not being used as a TV, it moves into Art Mode.

This turns into a picture frame that can display over 1,200 digital art from around the world, and transform everyday living space into an art gallery. The Frame adjusts the screen brightness based on the ambient light in the room, using its in-built motion and brightness sensors.

The Frame 2020 comes with Samsung’s Quantum Dot technology and HDR 10+ support. It features a Quantum Processor with 1.7 GHz clock speed powering the 4K display and instantly upscales content for sharper details and refined colours.

Both The Fram 2020 and the online Smart TVs come with Auto Hotspot technology, USB 3.0 and support voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa in addition to Samsung’s native Bixby. That’s not all, these Smart TVs are loaded with features such as Game Enhancer for smooth lag free gaming, Content Guide for curated content, Personal Computer Mode, Home Cloud and Music Player, among others.

Samsung has added a free subscription to Office 365, along with 5 GB of cloud storage space. These TVs come with the unique Personal Computer mode allowing users to transform their TV into a full-fledged PC. The Frame 2020 and the 10 new Smart TV models will also provide native support for a wide range of OTT platforms such as ZEE5, SonyLIV, Amazon Prime, Netflix and Voot.

The Frame 2020 has a starting price of ₹74,990 for the 50-inch model, the 55-inch model will cost ₹84,990 and the 65-inch model will cost ₹139,990. On the other hand, the Samsung online-exclusive 4K UHD Smart TV models will range from ₹ 36,990 for the 43-inch version to ₹ 89,990 for the 65-inch version. The FHD and HD Ready Smart TV models will start from as low as ₹ 14,490 for the 32-inch variant to up to INR 31,990 for the 43-inch variant.

Samsung is offering a wide range of offers including early bird offers on pre-paid transactions in the first 48 hours of the sale on Flipkart for The Frame and online Smart TVs, with an additional instant cashback of up to ₹ 1,500. SBI credit cardholders will get instant cashback up to ₹ 1,000 on pre-paid transactions on Amazon. EMI options start at ₹ 3,125 for 24 months for The Frame 2020, and ₹ 805 for 18 months for the new range of online Smart TVs.
