Xiaomi launches the 2019 version of Notebook Air 12.5 and 13.3 along with Mi Notebook 15.6 laptops in China with 8th gen Intel Core CPUs

The Chinese handset maker Xiaomi is known for its wide range of products that have quality as well as fair pricing. In their home country China, they have a bunch of products that people find very useful in their daily lives.

From smartphones, gadgets, accessories and other home essentials, Xiaomi has never stopped itself from making new & innovative products.

So, in this 2019, Xiaomi has refreshed their Mi Notebook series with new CPUs & GPUs and also added some extra functionalities including improved cooling, that makes the series a bit more competitive to Apple’s signature MacBook series.

There are three versions of the Mi Notebook series including the Mi Notebook Air 12.5, Mi Notebook Air 13.3 and Mi Notebook 15.6, the names suggests the screen size of these laptops.

The Mi Notebook Air series has been given more priority to directly compete with Apple’s MacBook Air laptop series, which is very popular in China and all other countries.

Mi Notebook Air 12.5

The Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch (2019) is much lighter than its predecessor and just weighs a mere 1.07kg. The laptop comes with a full-metal chassis and also been included with fast charging functionality that helps to charge up the notebook by 50% in 50 minutes.

The notebook has a 12.5-inch display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by a Core i5 processor and Core m3 processors and is coupled with 4GB RAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage.

Xiaomi even claims a whopping 11.5 hours of battery life on continuous use. On the connectivity front, you have Bluetooth, WiFi, USB Type C, HDMI, USB 3.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The laptop runs on Windows 10 Home edition and sports a backlit keyboard as well.

Expectedly, the Notebook Air 13.3 comes with a 13.3-inch FHD display with a higher screen to body ratio. Under the hood, it’s powered by the 8th-gen Intel Core i5 quad-core processor. Also, there’s the latest discrete mobile GPU by NVIDIA, the GeForce MX250 graphics card.

The laptop is coupled with 8GB RAM, and a 256GB of SSD storage. For connectivity, we have a USB Type-C port, one HDMI port, one USB 3.0 port, and 3.5 mm audio jack.

The laptop just weighs 1.3kg and also sports a minimalistic design with no logo. Xiaomi says that the notebook comes pre-equipped with a metal fan for cooling, and has Dolby surround sound technology for an enhanced sound experience.

The 15.6-inch Full-HD 1080p display but has more bezels around the corner than its brothers. It runs on the 8th gen Intel Core i5 processor and is coupled with 8GB of RAM and you can configure the device up to 512GB SSD storage.

Surprisingly, the GPU here is the older Nvidia GeForce MX110 laptop graphics. Also the laptop comes with MS Office pre-installed, and has a digital input keyboard as well.

Price & Availability

The Mi Notebook Air 12.5 with Intel Core m3 CPU and 128GB SSD has been priced at CNY 3,599 (roughly around Rs.38,400). There’s also a 256GB SSD variant that will retail at CNY 3,999 (roughly around Rs.42,700).

The much more superior Mi Notebook Air 13.3 (2019) model has been priced at CNY 5,399 (roughly around Rs.55,600) and its already available for orders in China now.

Finally, the base variant of Mi Notebook 15.6 (2019), is priced at CNY 4,299 (roughly around Rs.44,300), and it will be available from April 9 onwards in China. Visit: https://amzn.to/2FCkWrK
