The ongoing pandemic has brought about various changes in the consumer spending curve. With more people investing in smart devices, the demand for high-performing smart devices has increased exponentially in the market; as such many of the smart device manufacturers have attained record-breaking profits in the 2020 fiscal year earnings.

According to sources, ZTE has launched its new smartwatch called the Watch Live. The OEM is known for releasing many groundbreaking products, such as its latest Axon 20 5G smartphone. It comes with an under-display camera, which is a first in the industry. Coming to Watch Live, the device has a square-faced display with advanced fitness tracking features. The display is a 1.3-inch, 240×240 TFT display.

Reports indicate that Watch Live offers 12 different sports modes, along with sleep- and stress-tracking features. The smartwatch also features continuous heart-rate tracking as well as SpO2 measurements. The total battery capacity of the smartwatch is unknown, but the OEM claims that it can last from between 14 to 21 days on a single charge.

The new ZTE Watch Live also has an IP68 certification. The device is currently listed on ZTE’s market web-store at 249 yuan (~US$38). Currently, the company provides the device in black finish with a black silicone band. The strap, however, will also come in blue, orange, or gray, although these options appear not to be available to order yet. With the increasing demand for smart devices, it seems that many OEMs are trying to boost their smart fitness tracking manufacturing business. The raging pandemic has increased the popularity of fitness tracking devices and, as such, will only see their sales margin going high in the future.
