ZTE made an official announcement today morning that they are launching its new 65W gallium nitride-based charger. This charger will be launched in ZTE’s home country China. The cost of this new charger will be 149 yuan ($23). One specification which is different from many other chargers is that this piece supports three fast charging ports.
The reports suggest that this charger adopts a 90-degree folding pin design. The only shortcoming or a negative point is that it comes in only a single white colour. All three ports can provide the user with fast charging and also at the same time. How amazing is that for the people who use their devices extensively! A single 65W gallium nitride charger can be used to charge all the devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops, handheld gaming consoles, cameras, and more.
Two type-C interfaces can provide an output of 65W while the third interface supports up to 30W fast charging. Below list tells about the maximum current outputs provided by the 65W gallium nitride-based charger:
- USB Type-C 1 = 65W
- USB Type-C 2 = 65W
- USB Type-A = 30W
- USB Type-C 1 + USB Type-C 2 = 45W + 18W = 63W
- USB Type-C 1 + USB Type-A = 45W + 18W = 63W
- USB Type-C 1 + USB Type-C 2 + USB Type-A = 45W + 15W = 60W
It supports many charging protocols, some of them are:
- USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.0
- Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) 3.0
- HiSilicon Fast Charging Protocol (FCP)
- HUAWEI SuperCharge (SCP)
- Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging (AFC)
Not much is known whether this product will be available outside China is as well.
