Imagine your college fest going absolutely haywire — not because of a sound system failure, but because students are literally turning into zombies. That is the wild, brilliant premise of *College Fest*, and honestly, it feels like a fever dream made specifically for Gen-Z. Directed by Vaibhav Bandhoo and produced by Vijay Koshy, *College Fest* is a horror-comedy film set in an engineering college during a zombie apocalypse — and it marks Ashish Chanchlani’s big Prime Video debut. ## What’s the Plot?

Set during a Gen-Z college fest, the story follows a mysterious infection that turns students into zombies, throwing the entire campus into chaos. As things spiral out of control, a group of students must face real consequences and a literal “brain rot” before everything around them collapses. The film mixes campus comedy with sharp commentary on brainrot culture and social media hysteria [IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7234116/fullcredits) — which makes it feel incredibly timely. It is not just horror for horror’s sake; there is a satirical edge here that fans of TVF’s writing will immediately recognise.

## FAQs

### **Q: Is *College Fest* a web series or a film?**

It is a feature film, not a multi-episode series. It is being positioned as a big, crowd-pleasing horror-comedy [Esquire India](https://www.esquireindia.co.in/entertainment/what-to-stream/prime-video-india-2026-lineup-big-announcements) set across a single chaotic college event.

### **Q: Is *College Fest* connected to Ashish Chanchlani’s *Ekaki*?**

No. *Ekaki* was a YouTube horror-comedy series. *College Fest* is an entirely separate Prime Video original produced by TVF, marking Chanchlani’s first proper premium OTT film.
