## Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara: Hrithik’s Heartfelt Tribute

Taking to Instagram on the film’s 15th anniversary, Hrithik reflected on playing Arjun Saluja, a workaholic finance trader whose path toward self-discovery closely mirrored something he was personally navigating at the time. He credited director Zoya Akhtar for building a space where the entire cast could, in his words, “run free” and simply be themselves on set.

He described the experience as deeply transformative and cathartic, noting that just as Arjun found freedom in embracing his true self on screen, he found something similar in real life during the making of the film.

## A Tribute to the Whole Team

Hrithik didn’t stop at his own experience — he fondly remembered the cast and crew as “a bunch of fools having fun” who somehow ended up creating something that has stayed relevant for a decade and a half. He also thanked producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti, along with composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and lyricist [Javed Akhtar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javed_Akhtar), for shaping the film’s emotional core.

Released in 2011, *Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara* is widely credited with reshaping the coming-of-age genre in Indian cinema, and its themes of friendship, fear, and self-reinvention continue to resonate with new audiences even today.
