Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has expressed interest in managing the France National team once the job is available, however for the time being Zizou will not be rushing back into management.

Zinedine Zidane has now twice resigned from the Real Madrid first-team managerial position. In his first stint with Real Madrid as head coach he had won an impressive three consecutive Champions League titles along with the La Liga title in 2016.

But in his return to the Spanish capital and in his second stint with the club he could not deliver the same performance as compared to his first stint. However, he did manage to win the La Liga title in the 2019/20 season.

But this season he just wasn’t able to add any silverware to the Santiago Bernabeu trophy cabinet.

In his parting comments, Zinedine Zidane told the public that the club president had lost faith in him and was threatened to be fired on a performance basis. This resulted in the French legend handing his resignation to the club president.

Real Madrid made the following statement after Zidane left the club “Zidane is one of the great myths of Real Madrid and his legend goes beyond what he has been as a coach and player of our club.”

Post Zidane’s resignation, former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has been appointed as his replacement and reportedly working on rebuilding Real Madrid’s first team in the long run.

As of now, there are currently no clubs matching Zidane’s stature with a vacant or insecure job position.
