Brazilian legend Zico has given an exclusive interview with Onefootball. During the interview, Zico has expressed his disappointment regarding the attitude of the Brazil national team players.

Brazil has recently won the Copa America in 2019 on their home soil. They have a huge talent pool including the likes of Neymar, Coutinho, Casemiro, Alisson among others. Neymar and co have been joined by newcomers Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.

After their Copa America win, Brazil has gone down. They went on a five-match winless run. They failed to beat Colombia, Senegal, and Nigeria and lost 1-0 to both Peru and Argentina. Zico feels the attitude of the players is causing a problem.

Zico told in the interview: “In the last games, the Brazilian team did not play like a team that I like to see. I don’t like the result football that everyone is behind. I’m not going to lose and then thinking about winning.”

“Brazil in the last few games were feeling sorry, it seemed that the guys are going [to the games] to fulfil their obligation, not to play for the national team.”

“There is that ugly football, waiting for somebody to make a beautiful move and win the game.”

“If Brazil does not change, it will be very complicated for us.”

Brazil’s next international tournament is the Copa America 2020, which has now been postponed to 2021 due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
