Yusuf Demir will leave Barcelona in the January transfer window, as the Spanish giants will terminate his loan spell. His contract has a clause where Barcelona will have to make his move permanent if he makes 10 appearances for the club.

He has made nine appearances for the Blaugrana so far, and will not be able to play another minute for the club. Ferran Torres’ imminent arrival means that the Spanish giants will have to free up their wage bill to make room for Torres.

Demir is on loan from Rapid Vienna, joining them on loan this summer. The Barcelona board believes that he is a good player but can’t afford to have his wages on their books.

So, he is expected to leave Barcelona alongside a host of other fringe players that are part of a cleanout. The other players expected to leave are Luuk De Jong, Philippe Coutinho and Sergino Dest.

What about Yusuf Demir’s future?

The player was initially signed as part of the Barcelona B team but was promoted to the first team by Ronald Koeman. He made an impressive set of appearances under the Dutchman and looked set to be a part of the squad permanently. But, this doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

Yusuf Demir is a very talented winger and can bring a lot to any club that he can feature for. He is attracting interest from the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen from Germany.
