Subscribers to YouTube Premium, in particular, enjoy advantages like uninterrupted video streaming without advertisements, background music playback, picture-in-picture (PiP) functionality, and improved streaming of high-definition videos.
For certain plans, the increase is negligible, while for others, the price has increased dramatically. At this point, it’s unclear if current subscribers of the streaming service will get a grace period before having to pay for a new monthly membership.

The official YouTube website has already updated with the new costs for Premium. Prepaid and ongoing subscription plans have both been modified. The monthly fee for the single-user, recurring Individual plan has increased from Rs. 129 to Rs. 149. The Family plan, which costs Rs. 299 per month instead of Rs. 189 and lets up to five users share the advantages of YouTube Premium, has experienced a significant price rise.
Similar price adjustments have also been made to the prepaid plans. Remarkably, paid subscriptions to YouTube Premium don’t happen to automatically renew. The following is a list of all YouTube Premium plans and their updated costs:

Plan | Old Price (INR) | New Price (INR) | % Increase |
