Liverpool are considering Borussia Dortmund starlet Youssoufa Moukoko as a potential signing next summer. The 17-year-old became the youngest goalscorer in Der Klassiker recently, when he helped Borussia Dortmund to a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich.

However, the striker’s contract runs out next summer and so far, there is no movement towards an extension. As a result, clubs like Liverpool are on high alert since they could sign a huge talent for free if he doesn’t renew.

The youngster will turn 18 next month, and has scored four goals and assisted two in 10 games this season. While he isn’t starting games every week, he is showing huge potential and could very well be the next big star to come out of Dortmund.

Moukoko graduated from the Borussia Dortmund academy with a very impressive goalscoring record. It has taken time for him to stand up to the challenge, but he is starting to become a very positive young talent at the top level with every passing week.

Roberto Firmino could be on his way out of Liverpool in the coming years. And in such a situation, a young and versatile attacking threat like Youssoufa Moukoko could be a very shrewd buy for the Merseyside club. All of this hinges on whether or not he can agree to a new contract with Dortmund.
