### 3. The Boroughs — Netflix | May 21 ⭐ Pick of the Week

This is the big one. Created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews and executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, The Boroughs is set in a picturesque retirement community where a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have — time. The cast is stacked: Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman, Clarke Peters, and Denis O’Hare lead the ensemble. All eight episodes drop at once, making it prime binge material for the weekend. If Stranger Things left a void in your life, The Boroughs was made for you. ### 4. System — Prime Video | May 22

Two of Indian cinema’s most powerful actresses finally share a screen. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, System stars Sonakshi Sinha as Neha Rajvansh, a privileged and high-profile public prosecutor, alongside Jyotika as Sarika Rawat, a courtroom stenographer with a modest background. As their story unfolds, their journey becomes more complex, with their own choices and beliefs questioned — exploring the tension between truth and power, and how difficult it is to stand for justice when the system itself pushes back. The film explores the complexities of married life and how love is tested through simple yet meaningful moments, blending romance, humour, and relatable emotions. A warm, feel-good Malayalam watch to close out the week.
