## Avengers Breakdown

**15. X-Men (2000):** It introduces Professor X, Magneto, Cyclops and Mystique, all returning in *Doomsday*. It’s a good primer, but its plot barely matters.

**14. X2:** This one explores Magneto’s uneasy bond with the X-Men, so seeing him fight beside them hits harder. It’s also Nightcrawler’s first screen appearance, and Alan Cumming is back for *Doomsday*.

**13. Brave New World:** Steve Rogers handed over the shield in *Endgame*, and this is where Sam Wilson fully becomes Captain America. Joaquin Torres also takes over as Falcon.

**12. Wakanda Forever:** It explains why the Wakandans and Talokans, led by Namor, now get along. It also sets up Shuri as Black Panther and M’Baku’s rise to the throne.

**11. The First Avenger:** This is where Steve’s love for Peggy begins. His choice to stay with her in the past is believed to have triggered an incursion, and the trailers hint at a baby.

**10. Shang-Chi:** The mid-credits scene shows the Ten Rings sending a mysterious beacon that’s never been resolved. With Doom as the big bad, it may finally pay off.

**9. The Avengers:** It has little direct setup, but it reminds you what Tony Stark meant to the team. That makes Doom wearing his face more painful.

**8. No Way Home:** It shows what tampering with the multiverse can cost. Peter’s erased memory could be another incursion trigger.

**7. Infinity War:** Thanos wiped out half of life, and Doom is expected to be even more ruthless. It’s a good benchmark for the stakes.

**6. Deadpool & Wolverine:** This film tied the Fox X-Men to the MCU and named their dying world Earth-10005. It also debuted Channing Tatum’s Gambit, who appears in *Doomsday*.

**5. Thunderbolts:** It creates the New Avengers, including Sentry, who could be key to beating Doom. The post-credits scene also reveals the Fantastic Four’s arrival.

**4. Multiverse of Madness:** This is where “incursion” enters the MCU. Clea’s post-credits debut may also connect her to Doom’s Latverian witches.

**3. The Fantastic Four: First Steps:** Franklin Richards has immense cosmic power, and the post-credits scene shows Doom taking an interest in him. The Fantastic Four are Doom’s greatest comic rivals.

**2. Loki:** It explains the TVA, the Sacred Timeline and He Who Remains. Loki now holds all timelines together, which could make him a target for Doom.

**1. Endgame:** It’s the backbone of the whole crossover, from Tony’s death to Steve’s time-heist choice. Marvel even rereleased it as *Endgame Encore* with extra scenes.
