## What’s the Nayi Naveli Story?

A picture-perfect bride transforms a chaotic Meerut household into a slice of heaven — until her brother-in-law suspects that things may not be as perfect as they seem. The ideal bahu could very well be an evil force from another world. The film blends elements of Indian folklore and mythology with humour, fright, and emotion. [Dish TV](https://indiantvinfo.com/find-the-full-list-of-prime-video-presents-2026/) Think *Stree* energy, but with a new-bride twist straight out of desi legend.

## The Dream Team Behind It

This isn’t just any horror comedy. The script is penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma, who previously wrote *Laapataa Ladies* and *Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar*, making this her second collaboration with Aanand L Rai. [IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/news/ni65405729/)

Director Balaji Mohan, known for Tamil films like *Maari* and *Maari 2*, makes his Hindi directorial debut with this project. [Dish TV](https://indiantvinfo.com/find-the-full-list-of-prime-video-presents-2026/) And after her intense role in *Haq*, Yami Gautam was actively looking for something lighter but with substance — and *Nayi Naveli* fits that bill perfectly.
