Xiaomi’s sub-brand teases new Redmi G (2021) gaming laptop for September 22 launch

Redmi is going to launch a new gaming laptop on September 22nd and considering it is a sub-brand of Xiaomi this will be the second generation as an affordable gaming laptop.

Last year, they announced the first Redmi G Gaming Laptop with up to Core i7-10750H & GTX 1650 Ti, so this year they will definitely make some notable updates.

In terms of specs and pricing Redmi did good, however, needs to improve on the design of the gaming laptop. The Xiaomi sub-brand has now teased the launch of Redmi G (2021) next week via a new post on Weibo.

As Notebookcheck points out, the theme of the upcoming Redmi G (2021) appears to be “light”, where you see a big G logo symbolizing the new gaming laptop and obviously the launch date.

“Redmi G (2021). This time there must be light. Because of love, chasing light. Bright-chasing is the high-performance gaming notebook. See you on September 22.”

In terms of hardware, you could be confident of Redmi using the latest 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H processors paired with latest NVIDIA RTX-30 series GPUs. Also, the upcoming gaming laptop could sport 16.1-inch 144 Hz display, and a sleek chassis.

Last year, the starting price of Redmi G gaming laptop was $763, and for the Redmi G (2021), it is very unlikely that Redmi will make a huge price jump. More details and teasers are expected as the launch date comes closer, so keep an eye here.
