Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0: What to Expect from the Upcoming Update Based on Android 15

HyperOS 2.0 may also include ripple volume key presses, based on iOS 18, to provide added UI touch-ups as well. Another useful addition could be the option to disable the lock screen editor, which appears when users tap and hold on the lock screen, preventing accidental activations.

Xiaomi has not come forward with an exact release date for HyperOS 2.0 but the launch could occur around October, when Android 15 releases as well. The beta test for Android 15 is already open to users who own the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 13T Pro, and Xiaomi Pad S6 Pro 12.4. Android 15 is in the platform stability phase and will become stable next month. HyperOS 2.0 will probably be right after that.
