The Xiaomi 13T series made its premiere at the company’s worldwide September launch event today in Berlin, but they weren’t the only new items on exhibit. We also got the company’s newest wristwatch, the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, along with the Smart Band 8’s global release.
Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro
A large number of third-party apps are available for download on the Watch 2 Pro, a full-featured Google Wear OS smartwatch. The watch is available in Bluetooth-only and LTE editions, the latter of which enables you to stay connected even in the absence of a paired smartphone by allowing you to make and receive calls, send and receive texts, and stay connected during calls.
The 1.43-inch AMOLED display on the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro has a maximum brightness of 600 nits and a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The watch has 20 built-in watch faces and an Always-on-Display feature.
For the Bluetooth-only model of the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, prices start at €270; for the LTE model, prices start at €330.
For the Bluetooth-only model and 55 hours for the LTE model, respectively, the device’s 495 mAh battery is rated for up to 65 hours of continuous use. The two-pin magnetic charger is a patented charging device.
The leading wearable platform is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 + Gen 1 with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. Additionally, you get Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and dual-band GNSS positioning. Additionally, the 5ATM water-resistant Watch 2 Pro weighs 54.5 grams without a band.
Xiaomi Smart Band 8
The Smart Band 8, also known as the Mi Band 8, made its debut in China in April. It has a 1.62-inch AMOLED pill-shaped screen with a resolution of 490 x 192 pixels. Band 8 has a max brightness of 600 nits and enables Always on Display functionality.
With the brand-new interactive fitness courses, which make use of the Band 8’s accelerometer to assist track your actions in real-time, you get the same health and fitness tracking as on the Band 7.
With the Band 8, Xiaomi is also placing a significant bet on style by providing a variety of official strap options made from materials including leather, nylon fabric, and metal in various styles.
With normal use, the battery should last 16 days, and with AOD on, 6 days. The unique two-pin charger ensures a full charge in one hour and is utilized for charging. The Xiaomi Band 8 is available for €40.
Xiaomi now offers a necklace accessory and a clip that you can attach to your shoes for more sophisticated tracking and posture monitoring.
