Xiaomi is one of the largest smart TV business owners in India and China. It has always performed well in the TV segment with products like Redmi Smart TV MAX 98 and Mi TV LUX OLED.

Last month, an 82 – inch Xiaomi 8K and 4K televisions were spotted on 3C. the 82-inch Mi TV 8K will bear the model number L82M6-8K. it is rumored to have a power rating of 100-240V.

The new Xiaomi TV is reported to be expensive but will still be lower than $7,342. It is supposed to be second in a stack of Xiaomi’s transparent Mi TV LUX.

Sources claim that L82M6-8K will have a built-in 5G modem. The company may not be the first one to release a 5G TV, but it will surely be the largest company to do so. The company will also bring a 4K model of its 5G TV, labeled L82M6-4K.

Due to the difference in resolution, the power rating of both the TV’s will be different. However, some similar features like the software (MIUI for TV), connectivity ports, and other things should be similar.

What’s unknown for now, is the type of panel which the TV’s will boast. It is speculated that the new Mi TV’s will feature either OLED or LED-backlit LCD. Since the LG display doesn’t supply QLED panels, the only option remains are OLED or LED.

Xiaomi currently sells two OLED TVs, one 65-inch 4K and another 55-inch 1080p under its Mi TV Master series also known as Mi TV LUX. Both of them are however exclusive in china only.

The Chinese giant is yet to reveal the launch date of its latest 82-inch smart television in 4k and 8k resolutions. However with the price being unveiled ts only a matter of time before we get the release date of both the products. It will be interesting to see how well the new 5G TV’s will create ripples in the TV industry.
