SIRIM Certification for Xiaomi Smart Band 8

This smart band model from Xiaomi has secured recognition on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification platform under the designation M2239B1, being referred to as the Xiaomi Smart Band 8. It has received certification from the SIRIM authority with type approval code RGSY/05A/0823/S(23-3855), and this certification will remain valid until August 15, 2028.

Remarkably, Xiaomi had formerly introduced the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 within the confines of the Chinese market. In more recent times, the manufacturer also introduced an additional smart band model within China—the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 Pro.

Specifications of Xiaomi Smart Band 8

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 showcases a pill-shaped design commonly associated with smart bands, featuring an AMOLED touchscreen with a 1.62-inch screen size, 60Hz refresh rate, 600 nits peak brightness, and a pixel density of 326 PPI. The device offers a collection of 200 watch faces.

In terms of functionality, the smart band supports 150 sports modes, encompassing activities like walking, running, cycling, swimming, and more. It offers enhanced data monitoring features like measuring stride frequency, stride length, ground contact gap ratio, and ground impact force, among various others. Health tracking features, including heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, blood oxygen level tracking, and menstrual cycle tracking, are also integrated into the device.

The smart band is powered by a 190 mAh battery, capable of delivering a battery life of up to 16 days. Activating the always-on display (AOD) will reduce the battery life to 10 days. The device supports quick charging, with a full charge achieved within an hour. In the Chinese market, the device is available in two variants. The standard version is priced at CNY 249, while the NFC-enabled variant carries a price tag of CNY 299.
